Ibis rims are backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing faults. If the issue is the result of a defect, Ibis will put it right. A low-cost accident replacement programme is also available for unexpected damage.
WHY WIDE?
Ibis has long supported wider rims and helped lead the wide-rim movement in 2014. That development also influenced the rise of today’s popular 2.4–2.6-inch tyres.
A wider rim spaces the tyre beads further apart, creating a broader footprint and improving sidewall support. This allows riders to use lower tyre pressures for better traction, stronger braking control and reduced rolling resistance across rough terrain.
IT'S ALL IN THE RIDE
Ibis has partnered with Stan’s NoTubes to license its patented Bead Socket Technology. This allows the rim cross-section to be made lower, creating greater vertical compliance and a smoother, more controlled ride.
The design also helps distribute impacts more effectively, delivering race-level durability and performance without the unnecessary weight of a heavier wheel.
BLACKBIRD SEND
Ibis Blackbird Send aluminium rims are engineered to reduce pinch flats and help keep the tyre securely sealed through hard impacts.
Ibis offers two versions: Send I and Send II. Both feature a unique hollow box-section beadwall that creates a wider contact point against the tyre. This stronger profile supports the tyre without cutting into the sidewall.
The reinforced Send II adds two ribs directly beneath the bead seat, helping the rim retain its shape through the hardest hits.
NO PROPRIETARY PARTS
Ibis builds its wheels using readily available components, making it easier to source replacement parts wherever riders travel.
Standard J-bend spokes and external square nipples also keep servicing straightforward, without relying on specialised or proprietary parts.
